Paris-Roubaix, perhaps the toughest challenge in cycling. Brutal cobbles, unbelievably long, cloaked in choking dust or sodden in mud. But what goes through the mind of the Roubaix rider? We’ve applied the Victorian faux-science of phrenology to explore the inner thoughts, dreams and motivations of the riders attempting to win cycling’s greatest classic.
Our Phrenology design was hatched after a conversation with friends about why any rider would want to put themselves through the agony of a race like Paris Roubaix. What makes a rider want to push beyond their limits? Why keep going when everything inside says stop. What would your inner voice tell you? tifosi.
