We founded The Handmade Cyclist back in 2011, when the UK cycling landscape looked very different to today. Team Sky was just a toddler and road cycling was at the very start of its British 'boom time' - and as lifelong cyclists we struggled to find interesting and beautiful cycling themed art and products that matched our love for and knowledge of this beautiful sport.
We created the Handmade Cyclist to solve this problem. Now, thirteen years and thousands of orders later we can share with you the next stage on The Handmade Cyclist mission.
Today we’ve launched a full rebrand and a new website - and over the next few weeks we’ve got some gorgeous new products arriving for you.
Our values have not changed: we still believe that there’s a huge gap in the market for high-quality, well thought out goods and merchandise that celebrates and expresses our customers’ love for cycling in a unique, beautiful way. Everything we make is designed to be as sustainable as possible - we have no interest in making cheap throwaway items that damage the planet.
We’re looking forward to sharing with you some of our new, wider range of goods over the next few weeks so keep your eyes open for newsletters and offers. We’ll have a new Dossard 13 range of tees and sweats, a whole new range themed around the best locations in Europe for a riding weekend with your buddies, and our first collection of finest quality, Italian made merino goods.
Even after 13 years, it feels like our grand tour is only just entering the mountains - and we all know that’s when the real fun starts.
