Rarely could the words uttered by a rider be so true. Marco Pantani was a modern icon, a flawed, brittle, brilliant idol. Capable of destroying races and riders as soon as the roads pointed upwards, he also fought his own demons from within.
In many ways Pantani was a symbol and a product of the wild, bad EPO era, but he was also just one of many of its victims. We can never know what it would have been like to see him fly in cleaner times, but one thing is certain: those who saw him take flight will never forget it.
This print is a numbered, limited edition of 50. Like all our artwork, it's custom printed for you in our studio on premium-quality paper stock, using archival inks that will last a lifetime.
