Fired in the heart of the potteries in Stoke on Trent in the same building that's been used since 1875 - a time before the Tour was even a twinkle in Desgrange’s eye.

Geraint Thomas is a Welsh legend, winner of Le Tour de France and multiple Olympic gold medallist. But things were not always easy, and after one tough stage of the Tour he uttered his killer quote:

"some times you are the hammer, sometimes you are the nail. And today I was a rusty old Ikea nail"
