King Alfred's Way might be one of the UK's newest trails, but it's already a bike packing classic. Snaking for 350 glorious kilometers through chalk downs, ancient monuments, exposed ridges and bucolic countryside, the King Alfred's Way has every element you need for adventure.

Starting and finishing in The Handmade Cyclist's home city of Winchester, finishers are watched over by King Alfred, legendary ruler of the Kingdom of Wessex, leader of the Saxons and the founder of modern England.

The choice of fabric for our t-shirts is part of a long process. First, we touch. Is it the softness and the style we want? Secondly, we feel. Is it nice and comfortable to wear? Thirdly, we pay close attention to detail. Does it have top notch stitching? Finally we look. Is the cut right?

Finally we analyze, is it sustainable? We only choose fabrics that are made from sustainable material, such as organic cotton because they use less energy and less water, resulting in less waste. All our t-shirts are soil association accredited.
