About

DJ Culture 001: Andrew Weatherall.

The first in a limited, occasional series of portraits of the icons, heroes, misfits and legends who have illuminated dance and DJ culture.

We kick off with a personal hero: visionary producer, cultural hero and all-round diamond gent, Andrew Weatherall. Sadly taken from us too soon, Weatherall's mixes, productions and music have gently warped and shaped the musical landscape for the last 30 years, always moving things forward, always taking us to more interesting, challenging and beautiful places.

"Fail we may, sail we must"... a phrase first said to Weatherall by an Irish trawlerman heading out into the Atlantic storms. A beautiful, fitting motto for a man never afraid to take a step into the unknown in the pursuit of beauty.

50% of the proceeds of the sale of this print will be donated to the British Lung Foundation. You can find out more about their work here: https://www.blf.org.uk/what-we-do
