Icons Series 004: Roger De Vlaeminck
The fourth in a series of 10 limited edition prints to celebrate The Handmade Cyclist's 10th Anniversary.
'If you have good legs you don't feel anything'
One things for sure, there's not many riders who had more 'good leg days'.
The Gypsy. Monsieur Paris-Roubaix. Whatever you call him, Roger De Vlaeminck is up there at the very top tier of the sport. One of only three men to win all five Monuments, four-time victor at Roubaix, to this day he's considered the greatest classics rider of all time.
In many ways DeVlaeminck and Merckx were cycling in the 1970's, the finest of a golden generation of Belgians who dominated the sport. With his signature sideburns, dark good looks, all-time-great Brooklyn jersey and effortless style, De Vlaeminck was as visually iconic as his palmares.
This print is a numbered, limited edition of 50. Like all our artwork, it's custom printed for you in our studio on premium-quality paper stock, using archival inks that will last a lifetime.
